Masters of Visual Studies
The Masters of Visual Studies (MVS) is unique in Canada. The MVS is a small, elite two-year professional program offering two fields of study: studio art practice (4 students admitted per year) and curatorial studies (admitting 3 students per year).

The MVS is distinguished from traditional MFA degrees in that it is not designated as media-specific. Instead, the MVS offers a small group of students a program of interdisciplinary studio art OR curatorial studies in combination with other knowledge-based activities such as research, critical writing and professional practice within contemporary art. The internship placement provides a link between the student and the culturally diverse city of Toronto, with its varied galleries, museums, arts publications and studios.  International internship placements are also encouraged to support specific research.
