IMAGE SERVICES : FADIS

Image Services provides images in digital format for teaching and research at the University of Toronto. 
Digital images are available to University of Toronto members on FADIS, the Federated Academic Digital
Imaging System, an online database and teaching system.   Use UTORids for access.

New FADIS users will need UTOR IDs, which are available to the University Community through the UT Library. 
On the St. George campus, go to Robarts Library, Scotia Commons Help desk, in the north-west corner on the main/entry-level floor to obtain your UTORid. 

Your FADIS account will be generated with student-level access, but TAs and instructors can easily be changed over (by a FADIS administrator) to different level accounts as appropriate.

We are happy to help you by sitting down with you to review FADIS, but recommend that you look at the 'Login to FADIS'  page demos. 
Find these under 'SUPPORT' and 'FEATURES' (on the menu bar above the login boxes). 
Remember to turn the sound up on your computer before you start.

We can produce digital images for you to use on FADIS or faculty may upload images to their own FADIS portfolios themselves. 
Please bring good-quality images for reproduction (either slide or paper) to room 6031A on the sixth floor of Sidney Smith. 
We request one week lead-time for most orders, but large-volume orders will take longer. 
Emergencies do occur, and we will try to see you through.  Image forms (yes, paper forms) must be filled out and are available in SS6031A.
